I had booked a room with a view of Galata Tower several months ago, but the hotel seemed to have overbooked the guests and changed my room assignment to a room with a view of the wall of some shabby building. The reason I booked this hotel was to have a view of the Galata Tower. The hotel explained absurdly that the room assigned to me was an upgraded balcony room, but my original goal was to have a view of the Galata Tower, and if that was not possible, the hotel should have informed me in advance, and in that case, I would have booked somewhere else. I was provided with transportation to the airport as compensation, but I did not come to this hotel, which is not cheap, to take a taxi to the airport. Also, I checked in after 15:00, but the room was still being cleaned, so it was surprising that I got to experience a maid cleaning the room. Due to the hotel's absurd reservation change, I was unable to rest or wash in my room at the time I wanted, so I was only able to check in late at night. The road to the restaurant for breakfast is under construction and is full of dust and the smell of cigarette smoke. The breakfast food quality wasn't that good either. And it is very disappointing that there are no basic wine glasses or glass cups in the room, there are not enough amenities, and the bathroom and room are small. The only positive point about the hotel is that the public bathhouse is historic and clean. Absolutely dissatisfied. I feel foolish for believing that this was a 5-star hotel run by Sofitel.

Very very good service. You guys were amazing and helpful and the hotel was nice and so clean. Room was comfortable. So close to Taksim and Sultanahmet (Old City Centre). I recommend to The Galata MGallery Hotel to everyone. They know their jobs

This is my second time to the Galata. This time with friends. This hotel went above and beyond once again and we were so comfortable in our stay. We were three people and were welcomed with a beautiful room, a huge double bed and then an extra room with single bed. We had so much space!! The rooms were so clean and we even enjoyed a short Hamman experience too. Nothing was too much for the receptionist and staff of the hotel. Highly recommend if you are staying in Istanbul. It’s like returning home once you’ve finished exploring!

Great hotel with beautiful and comfortable rooms! Very nicely made. Friendly staff. We came in the evening and Ufuk was very welcoming and helpful! The hotel is very central most locations are within a walking distance! I recommend it and would stay there again!

Our stay in The Galata Mgallery was truly amazing. Clean, fancy and centrally located. Rooms are good equipped and luxurious. Mr. Murad is very competent and helpful. All staff are super polite and friendly. Recommended hotel. It is totally worth it.
